The full name of the solar controller is the solar charge and discharge controller. It is an automatic control device used in a solar power generation system to control the multi-channel solar battery array to charge the battery and the battery to supply power to the solar inverter load.
The controller refers to the master device that controls the start, speed regulation, braking and reverse of the solar system by controlling the wiring of the circuit and changing the resistance value in the circuit.
Overcharge protection: When the charging voltage is higher than the protection voltage, it will automatically shut down to charge the battery; when it is lower than the recovery voltage, the floating charge will be turned off, and it will enter the equal charge state.
Over-discharge protection: When the battery voltage is lower than the protection voltage, the controller automatically turns off the output to protect the battery from damage; when the battery is charged again, it can automatically restore power supply.
Load over-current and short-circuit protection: When the load current exceeds 10A or the load is short-circuited, the fuse will blow, and it can continue to be used after replacement.
Overvoltage protection: When the voltage is too high, the output will be automatically turned off to protect the electrical appliances from damage.
Anti-reverse charging function: Schottky diodes are used to prevent the battery from charging the solar battery.
It has the function of lightning protection: when there is a lightning strike, the piezoresistor can prevent the lightning strike and protect the controller from damage.
All solar power generation systems powered by batteries are in great need of a solar charge and discharge controller. The role of the solar charge and discharge controller is to regulate the power delivered from the solar panel to the battery. Battery overcharge, at least significantly reduces battery life.
